One of the biggest problems facing Cameron Highlanads is the excessive use and abuse of plastic .. LAST YEAR, ON THE DAY that SUNGEI BERTAM flooded my husband and I took a drive to the affected areas… More than anything else I was extremely shocked and upset to see the hundreds of tones of plastic that had been THROWN OUT on either sides of the river banks in the aftermath of the flood..IT was horrific to see the sheer volume of plastic that must have been  choking the river besides the silt of course…

Several cities and towns in hill stations around the world have successfully launched campaigns to consciously reduce their plastic bag consumption..I would like to do the same in CAMERON HIGHLANDS .A small gesture but one which would help to create awareness…We would like to start with a small campaign in Tanah Rata..

THE FARM TO THE TABLE ORGANIC VEGETABLES INITIATIVE

This is also something close to my heart.. I find organic produce is hard to obtain in the city.. Its my desire to use my website and provide the organic famers of Cameron Highlands an avenue to market their produce  and use my blog to help them connect with their potential clients … This will help to establish a direct link between the farmers and their clients.. Thus giving farmers direct access to market their produce…This will also enhance the freshness of the vegetables and make them  more affordable in the long run…
